CBA Executive manager
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversees all accounting functions including those necessary for auditing, budgeting, financial analysis, capital assets and payroll in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, and all other applicable rules and guidelines.
- Overseeing, designing, and redesigning business operations.
- Handles all aspects of human resource management for employees including but not limited to hiring and termination, developing position descriptions, setting compensation, and setting employee policies and benefits in accordance to executive management committee guidelines.

- To facilitate, co-ordinate and guide credit bureau association work streams, in particular, the legal, compliance and operations work stream, the technical and data work stream and the public relations work stream.
- Advocates and lobbies on behalf of the credit bureau association interests, and represents the credit bureau association in all aspects of the industry. To act as a liaison with government, all industry associations, its members and community leaders, as directed by the executive management committee. To act as the primary contact on behalf of the credit bureau association. To establish regular meetings and to attend all meetings. To fosters an environment that facilitates broad support for the credit bureau industry.
- To finalise a new Code for the industry in accordance with the requirements of the Protection of Personal Information Act, and to submit the Code for approval once the Regulator is established. Once the Code is gazetted, to oversee implementation of the new Code by all members of the Credit bureau association to ensure consistency and best practices within the credit bureau industry.
- To ensure that the new Code of Conduct encapsulates all relevant rules, laws and regulations applicable to credit bureau, as well as industry best practices.
- Drafting advisory notices, legal opinions and policy directives that guide members of the credit bureau association with respect to legal compliance issues, and general business.
- Assisting the credit bureau association with legal submissions on draft laws impacting the sector.
- Representing and making submission on behalf of the credit bureau association on legal matters thataffect the entire credit bureau industry that come before the National Credit Regulator/ Tribunal/Information Protection Regulator (once established) or any other statutory or non-statutory bodies.
- To Act as the credit bureau association spokesperson to the members, industry, media and public.
- Perform public relations duties and maintain a good working relationship with the media and all stakeholders.
- To prepare necessary reports, summaries and research projects. Respond to viable opportunities to advance the credit bureau industry.
- To maintain effective, consistent communication with the credit bureaus association member’s members via publications, email and personal contact. Plan and develop annual management committee election and annual meetings. Manage new membership applications.
- To ensure the credit bureau association and it members are compliant with relevant legislation. To identify compliance issues, threats and risks and inform the executive management committee.
