It has come under our attention that many of our clients are still using Marshall, Compuscan's first version credit bureau credit score.
Compuscan has developed a brand new, highly predictive credit bureau score, called Compuscore, which was developed in partnership with ScoreSharp, one of the leading credit scoring and analytical consultancy companies in SA.
Where Marshall was developed to predict and score micro lending behaviour based on Compuscan's micro lending credit information alone, Compuscore was developed using the latest statistical techniques, using multiple data sets, various loan terms (based on a sample of over 500,000 consumers), consisting of 74 million records, plus good and bad repayment behavioural trends.
CompuScore can be effectively applied to personal loans / micro loans with terms of up to 36 months. A recent test showed that CompuScore was the best performing bureau score for personal loans / micro loans with terms up to 36 months in South Africa. CompuScore could be applied to other loan products, but as yet, it has not been tested on other loan products.
Due to these obvious benefits for our clients, it was decided that the Marshall score will be replaced by the new and improved Compuscore, ensuring that our clients get the best possible functionality and service from Compuscan.
Marshall will be discontinued or de-activated on the 19th of July 2009.
You have the option to convert your existing Marshal Score Card to Compuscore at the same price until 19 July 2009 or you can choose to cancel your subscription to Marshall Score Card.
Please note: Should you not convert from Marshal to Compuscore before the 19th of July 2009 your subscription will automatically be cancelled.
