Read Reports ImageCompuscan’s business credit report provide a range of information via e-mail, fax or online enquiries, depending on the report you select.

The Compuscan Status Report, a report for all corporate organisations, provides you with the following commercial credit information:

  • The full Registrar of Companies file is held on our database and is updated weekly.
  • Registration Details:• Includes the latest information on the official registered company name and numbers; trading name; status of the business (e.g. in business, de-registered, dissolved, provisional liquidation etc.); registered address; business location and type of premises.
  • Associated Companies: Includes information on all associated companies.
  • Company Histories: Includes information on date of registration. This information is important because 70% of com­panies do not make it to their 4th birthday.
  • Auditor’s Information: Includes information on the name of the auditor. This information can be an indicator of a good company if for example they are audited by a large audit firm.
  • Principal Information: Includes principals full names, identity numbers, addresses, other business interests and the status of those interests (e.g. active, dissolved, liquidated etc); share holding and equity structure, the principals personal credit report is included – including the principals personal credit score; principals tax status (depending on availability);
  • Property and Bond Search is included on the subject and on each principal – and includes a search of the Municipal Valuation for each property - because it is important to understand the amount of asset value the property has over the amount owing on any bonds. This section is set out in a table in order to make it ensure extremely easy to under­stand. The normal definition of a Deeds Search entails only a check to confirm whether any property is owned – we do not consider this to be sufficient hence the above additional research;
  • Civil and High Court Judgements: Collected nationally from over 500 courts throughout South Africa. Liquidations, Sequestrations and Notarial Bonds• Collected nationally from over 500 courts throughout South Africa.
  • Operations information: Includes information on the functions of companies.
  • Premises information: Includes information on companies’ collateral. Compuscan collects this information by means of direct interviews.
  • Bank Codes & Bankers Comments: Includes information on companies’ relationship with the bank. Bankers, bank codes and bankers comments are always included in the data provided – all previous bank codes and bankers com­ments are also included.
  • Number of staff: This information is a good indicator of the size of companies.
  • Trade References: Includes information on the payment behaviour of companies i.e. can they pay and do they pay on time. This information is provided by suppliers to the subject company are undertaken and recorded – in an easy to read table form – all previous trade references are included subject to the provisions of the National Credit Act.
  • Trade References Status Analysis: Expressing our view of the subject is provided as a guideline – in the form of a summary of the important aspects of the subject’s creditworthiness.
  • Status Warranty: We warrant the validity of our information and will contact the subject if there is a default within the six month warranty period. In addition any updated report request during the six month warranty period is charged at a very much lower rate than a new Status Report.
  • Monitoring of the subject for any adverse information is also done at no charge for the warranty period
