Compuscan will be attending the World Consumer Credit Reporting Conference (WCCRC) and presenting at the 3^rd Global Credit Reporting Conference in Brazil from 19 – 23 October 2008 at the Sheraton Rio Hotel & Resort, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The WCCR 2008 

The WCCRC 2008 is designed for all those active in the consumer credit reporting industry, such as credit bureau executives, credit information providers, executives from financial, retail and other users of credit information and decision analytics tools, as well as government and legislative representatives.

Serasa, an Experian Company, has been chosen to host the 6^th WCCRC, to be held in Rio de Janeiro, from 19th to 21st of October, 2008, at the Sheraton Rio Hotel & resort. It runs the organisation of the Conference jointly with the European ACCIS – Association of Consumer Credit Information Suppliers and the American CDIA – Consumer Data Industry Association.

The WCCRC 2008 will bring to discussion various issues of global concern and will tackle some regional developments as well. Thus, as consolidated through the previous conferences, the agenda will embrace subjects of interest for delegates from all over the world, allowing for a fecund exchange of experiences and views.

3^rd Global Credit Reporting Conference 2008

The conference will gather policy makers, practitioners in the area of credit reporting and regulators from developed and emerging markets to provide a forum for participants to discuss public policy issues and credit reporting best practices, and to share experiences in regulating the credit reporting industry. In addition, the conference will create a forum for credit reporting experts, policymakers and financial education advocates to share their experience and brainstorm on the ways to promote responsible lending practices.

This conference will also provide an opportunity to learn from experiences in different countries, discuss the future of the public-private cooperation in this area of financial infrastructure, and present technological solutions to address specific challenges in emerging markets.

It will be hosted by The International Finance Corporation (IFC), the World Bank and the Central Bank of Brazil from 21- 23 October 2008 at the Sheraton Rio Hotel & Resort, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

We will represented by Frank Lenisa (MBA), Marketing Director of Compuscan at this prestigious event. Frank will do a presentation on Credit bureaus for Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) which will discuss the main challenges of integrating MFIs in a credit bureau.
